Call for papers

The DOF 2021 meeting "Delivery of Functionality”: is coming to the Far East for the first time! The conference, co-hosted by Delivery of Functionality in Complex Food Systems Scientific Committee, Guangdong Technion Israel Institute of Technology (https://www.gtiit.edu.cn/en/index.aspx),  Guangzhou International Bio-Island, Shantou Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, Guangdong Institute of Food Science and Technology, and Plug and Play China, will be held in GTIIT between Jun 17-18, 2021.

The DOF 2021 is about: Delivery of Challenges of the Future: Sustainability, Health and Personalization.

This year the focus of the DOF is on the following topics:

1. Sustainability-focused food systems:

Food-design approaches based on plant-based innovation; food waste recycling (and up-cycling); and cellular agriculture.

2. Health-forwarding food systems:

Engineered delivery systems for health promoting bioactives; physical approaches for removal of negative nutrients; material science-based structuring of ingredients, food structure design.

3. Personalized food systems:

Delivering functionality with the help of tailor-made foods; food –body interactions (sensory, oral processing, digestion, release, bioavailability, bio-efficacy, genetics, and microbiome); customization of food for individual needs.
